Associate Teaching Professor of Spanish at Penn State Berks

Dr. Donna Chambers is an Associate Teaching Professor of Spanish at Penn State Berks where she is also the Interim Coordinator of The Office of Community Engagement (OCE). Dr. Chambers is deeply involved with the Latino Community in educational, civic, and cultural matters. She is instrumental in organizing annual county wide cultural events such as Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges and LACC’s Spanish Poetry Writing contest. 

Dr. Chambers also works internationally with colleagues and students. Her latest project at Berks is working with the Fundación Interconectados from Venezuela, training members of Virtual Collaborative Multidisciplinary Teams in the use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) to advance active citizen participation in democratic processes in select Venezuelan towns.
