Director of Student Engagement and Associate Teaching Professor in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences

Karen T. Marosi (PhD, The Pennsylvania State University, 1999) is Director of Student Engagement and Associate Teaching Professor in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS). In this role she assists students in identifying and accessing co-curricular activities suited to their personal goals and works with faculty to increase learning opportunities beyond the classroom. In addition, she is the EMS liaison to student engagement activities across the university. Dr. Marosi’s career opportunities have led her to develop expertise in the areas of academic policy, academic advising, student support, assessment, curriculum development, grants administration, career counseling, retention, and student engagement. She is particularly interested in promoting the success and degree attainment in STEM of students from historically underrepresented groups.
