Peter Aeschbacher

Associate Professor of Architecture and Landscape Architecture

Peter Aeschbacher is an Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture and Architecture at University Park. Peter has a long history with PSU’s public scholarship initiatives and the Student Engagement Network (SEN). He teaches a popular design thinking Gen Ed course as well as architectural history/theory and the Human Dimensions of Landscape Architecture. Peter’s scholarly and practice work is on participatory and community design, design process, and design activism. Trained as a graphic designer, architect, and urban planner with graduate degrees from UCLA, Peter has lived and worked in Switzerland, Serbia, Belgium, and South Africa.
